HONEY MEMBERSHIP

Shelagh Delaney’s A Taste of Honey premiered at Stratford East in 1958. The production was celebrated for its interrogation of issues around class, race, gender and sexuality. Radical and innovative storytelling has remained at the theatre’s heart ever since. As a Honey Member, you will receive all Friends of Stratford East benefits plus:

  • Access to an exclusive allocation of tickets, even for productions sold out to the public.
  • Bespoke ticket booking service through the Development department.
  • Regular updates about our work.
  • One invitation for you and a guest to join a private post-show Q&A with cast and creatives.
  • Accreditation in our programmes, on our website, and on the Front of House Supporters' Board.

PEARL MEMBERSHIP

Whilst refurbishing our auditorium in 2015, we discovered hundreds of oyster shells in the foundations of our Dress Circle. These artefacts likely came from workmens’ lunches during the expansion of the stage in 1891. As a Pearl Member, you will receive all Honey Member benefits plus:

  • One invitation for you and guest to a Stratford East Press Night. This includes: private pre-show and interval drinks reception, best available seats for the performance, complimentary programme and opportunity to join post-show party attended by cast, creatives and special guests.
  • Membership Period: 1 year

CRYSTAL MEMBERSHIP

The magnificent chandelier hanging from our auditorium ceiling was a donation from the Wyndham’s Theatre. They gifted it to Gerry Raffles during the run of Oh, What a Lovely War!. As a Crystal Member, you will receive all Honey Member benefits plus:

  • Invitation to annual Director’s Lunch.
  • Two invitations for you and guest to a Stratford East Press Night.
  • Membership Period: 1 year

LITTLEWOOD CIRCLE MEMBERSHIP

Stratford East became the permanent home of Joan Littlewood and The Theatre Workshop in 1953. They developed landmark productions such as Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be (1959) and Oh, What a Lovely War! (1963). We keep Joan’s revolutionary spirit alive today. Both in our diverse programming and in our outreach work. As a Joan Littlewood Circle Member, you will receive all Crystal Member benefits plus:

  • Invitation for two to all Press Nights.
  • Invitation for two to our Annual Chair’s Dinner.
